Omega Auto Clinic LLC is an auto repair shop located in Newton, Kansas. In 2017, Omega opened in Halstead, KS. (about 10 miles west of Newton) with David running all aspects of the business. As the first year of business progressed it became quite apparent Omega needed a larger space with more bays to service cars. In July 2018 Omega moved to its current location at 2015 W. First Street, Newton and now offers the same services in a larger space.
David Long, owner and operator, has been a mechanic for over 20 years. He is an Army veteran that repaired Army tanks and large vehicles during his years of service. After his Honorable Army discharge he continued to hone his service skills by maintaining a fleet of vehicles for a company in Wichita.
Since 2010 he has been a full time mechanic in the Halstead/Newton area working on all makes, models and years of cars. In that time he has focused his mechanic skills working on European & Exotic cars (Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Range Rover, Audi, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Volvo, Maserati, Porsche…).
Starting in January 2018 through July 2018, David and Tyler Hoover (Hoovies Garage) filmed a reality show “Car Issues” in addition to their YouTube Channels. In the show Tyler Hoover makes his way across America buying the coolest, hardest to find cars at even harder to find prices. As soon as he scores, he puts his new ride to the test, on race tracks, off-road adventures and road trips through the heartland. Tyler then meets up with “The Car Wizard,” to diagnose whether he bought a winner or a loser, and decide whether to keep the car or flip it. The show airs on A&E’s FYI Channel.
